Twice a year the notes in the Western Wall are collected. Passed by thousands of visitors throughout the year, the collected notes are buried.
Located in the upper stones of wall are a subset of notes that continue to remain with the wall. One can theorize why or how? I like to think that maybe the birds have picked up a few of the notes found between the stones and taken these to these upper.
I first discovered these notes in the upper stones in 2013. The discovery of these made me wonder which of the thousands of notes have stayed in the Western Wall.
